The firefighters of New York City are in a unique position because they are known through out the world for the example of courage and unselfishness they set on 9-11 along with many other brave Americans. We are praying that they would maintain the high standards they have always had as well as increasing in effectiveness in the new demands required of them since terrorism came to our shores. . . . . . . And we pray that the Lord would be pleased with them, protecting them, and drawing them to Himself as they serve Him... rescuing lives, preserving property.... defending the well-being of so many citizens... setting an example for all of us. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
